Welcome to the Visual Arts Guild of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts!!
We’re an all-volunteer parent group that supports the students and faculty of the Visual Arts cluster, including funding for art supplies and teaching materials and grants/scholarships for student and teacher enrichment. We also provide volunteer support for cluster programs and activities such as Portfolio Day, Showcase, Young American Talent and Field Trips.
In order to accomplish all we do, we require annual membership renewals. The benefits of being involved in the Guild are many. First and foremost, it’s the best way to stay informed on all your student’s activities. Your membership puts you on our e-mail list to receive our monthly newsletter that details all our cluster’s upcoming activities, by grade level. And it’s a great way to meet and socialize with other parents in our cluster.
We have two formal parent meetings a year to kick-off each semester, as well as, parent social gatherings at the end of each semester. The Guild Board meets once per quarter with our Department Head to plan our full calendar of activities. We also have informal parent coffees by grade level. Please join us, get involved, and reap the many rewards of being an active parent at our wonderful school.
When you Support the Guild, You Support the Students & Teachers of the Visual Arts Cluster.
