Good afternoon Visual Arts students, parents and supporters!

First and foremost, don't forget there is no school Friday, May 2. Enjoy the long weekend.

Please consider signing up for one of our remaining volunteer or donation opportunities like Young American Talent (May 3, 5, 6, 17), Teacher Appreciation (May 6), Senior Dinner (May 19). There are also LOTS of opportunities to volunteer during senior week activities or Creations.

SENIOR NEWS

May 2 is the deadline to apply for the Visual Arts Guild Senior Scholarship. Late or incomplete applications cannot be accepted so finish your online application before 11:59 p.m. on May 2.

Other dates and deadlines:

Read the latest Class of 2025 newsletter for details on all things senior.

THIS JUST IN - Seniors will each receive seven tickets to graduation. (The student does not need a ticket.) Each student is eligible to request one additional ticket, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

FACULTY APPRECIATION WEEK

Visual Arts parents, guardians and students are needed to volunteer on Tuesday, May 6 from 12-2 p.m. to help with our teacher appreciation event. Volunteers will set up, help pot plants, distribute snacks, and clean up. With approval, students are welcome to help during their lunch hour. Weather permitting, we'll be in the Green Room. If you want to support but can't volunteer, we appreciate snack donations. Check the sign up and volunteer or donate today.

YOUNG AMERICAN TALENT

Volunteers are needed to help collect and install art on May 5-6, and help finalists pick up their art on Saturday, May 17. And we appreciate volunteers and snack donations for the May 8 reception. This is typically our largest reception since we are hosting families from all over north Texas. Please note the time change; this reception is from 6-8 p.m. with the awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
