CLASS OF 2026

Thank you to the faculty and volunteers who supported Portfolio Day on Monday. Special thanks to the colleges who participated and to alum Skye McDaniel of La Bodega for providing lunch to our faculty and guests. 

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Senior headshots by Nicki Behm were installed this week on the first floor outside Mr. Clark's room.

Art & Business Speakers
The Art & Business class is looking for speakers on Fridays from 10:35-11:55 a.m. on January 9 and 23, February 6, 13 and 20 and March 6. If you or someone you know works in the arts, business or finance and would be willing to speak to the class, please email Ms. Bell.

Shop the Faculty Wish List
The faculty wish list contains items that help support students in the Visual Arts Conservatory. Items purchased from the list will ship directly to the school.

OCTOBER GUILD MEETING - OCTOBER 7

The next Visual Arts Guild meeting is Tuesday, October 7 from 5-6 p.m. in room 172 (Ms. Benzenberg's room). The PTSA meeting will follow at 6 p.m. in the Commons.

YOUNG ARTS - OCTOBER 8

Young Arts is a nationwide arts competition for artists ages 15–18 (or grades 10–12). Students are encouraged to apply in the discipline of their choice - classical music, dance, design, film, jazz, photography, theater, visual arts, voice or writing. Award winners receive mentorship and financial awards, and gain access to creative, professional development and funding opportunities. Get more information and apply online before October 8

STUDIO SELECTIONS - OCTOBER 16

Studio Selections, an exhibit featuring works from sophomores and juniors, is in the Hudson Gallery through October 30. The opening reception for Studio Selections is Thursday, October 16 from 5-7 p.m. Volunteers and snack donations are appreciated. Students can volunteer with a parent. Please remember that all adult volunteers must register or renew with VOLY before volunteering.

NASHER FIELD TRIP - OCTOBER 30

Four volunteers are needed to chaperone students on a field trip to the Nasher from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sign up on the Visual Arts Guild website. Please remember that all volunteers must register or renew with VOLY annually.
