Good afternoon Visual Arts students, parents and supporters! Mark your calendars.- Pegasus Pick Up and Flight School sessions have been confirmed.

If you are new to Booker T - Pegasus Pick Up is our annual orientation and registration event. Parents should plan to attend with their students. You will confirm registration, review your schedule, pay for parking, lockers and yearbooks, and have the chance to meet with the Advisory Board, PTSA and your conservatory guild.

On Friday, August 1, students new to Booker T in any grade attend Flight School from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Flight School is for students only, but during this time parents are encouraged to attend the PTSA's Parent University session for a chance to hear from PTSA officers, faculty and administration. Students should RSVP for Flight School by July 28. Parents, you can get more info on Parent University on the PTSA website.

Incoming freshmen and their parents will attend Pegasus Pick Up from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, August 1.

Rising sophomores and juniors attend Pegasus Pick Up on Thursday, July 31. Rising sophomores are asked to come between 8:30-11:30 a.m. Rising juniors are asked to come between 1-4 p.m.

Rising seniors attend Pegasus Pick Up on Wednesday, July 30. Students with last names A-G are asked to come between 8:30-11:30 a.m. Students with last names H-Z are asked to come between 1-4 p.m.

BEFORE PEGASUS PICK UP

If you want to avoid some lines at PPU or you can't make it, you can do some things online now:

  • Join the Visual Arts Guild: Memberships start at $25.
  • Pay the supply fee: The Visual Arts Guild collects a $25 supply fee on behalf of the Visual Arts Conservatory to help ensure classrooms have supplies for the variety of classes available to our students including drawing, painting, fibers, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, welding, printmaking, 2D and 3D design.
CLASS OF 2026 / SENIORS

REMINDER: Seniors sit for yearbook photos AND conservatory headshots.

Senior yearbook photos will be taken on campus July 29 - August 1. Students have a 10-minute session and immediately select TWO required photos for the yearbook - a portrait and a personality pose. You can bring a prop or props for your personality photos (no animals allowed). You'll receive a gallery link by email within two weeks to purchase portraits from your session. To schedule your senior yearbook photo, visit the website of photographer Angela Navarette

Visual Arts seniors will sit for conservatory headshots after we go back to school. Visual Arts conservatory headshots are posted on the senior wall and used throughout the year in social media and at senior exhibits, Showcase, Portfolio Day, and senior dinner.
