Good afternoon Visual Arts parents, students and supporters! Happy new year! We hope you all had a restful, enjoyable break and are ready to take on second semester. We have some exciting things happening in January. Please read on for more details.

As always, email if you have any questions or if you find yourself with some free time and would like to help the guild this semester. We have a variety of volunteer needs - everything from snack donations for auditions to parent volunteers at the 5x7 to senior shows and senior dinner.

There will be a short Visual Arts Guild meeting following the PTSA on Tuesday, January 16. The PTSA will meet at 6 p.m. in the Commons. The guild will meet at 7 p.m. Location TBA.

Thank you to the guild fundraising committee for planning our 5x7 Art Sale. It is going to be a fun and creative evening and all proceeds will benefit the Visual Arts Conservatory.

Students - it's not too late to donate a piece (or two) of artwork. Your art can be 2D (5x7 or smaller) or 3D (5x5x7) and in your favorite medium. The pieces do not need to be framed but can be. Please fill out this form if you plan to donate a piece. The new deadline is January 10.

Parents and supporters - please make plans to join us on Thursday, January 18. The event is free. We'll provide light bites. Drinks will be available for purchase. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Art Sale begins promptly at 8 p.m. Booker T band Flamingo Tree will play throughout the evening and from 9-10 p.m.

Share the invite with family, friends, neighbors, potential Booker T students. It's going to be a great evening!
