Good afternoon Visual Arts parents, students and supporters!

Here are a few updates for events in December:

YOUNG AMERICAN TALENT

Young American Talent (YAT) is now open for submissions. YAT is a juried art competition for North Texas high school students. Winners receive cash prizes, including prizes for freshmen.

Last year there were more than 1,300 submissions and 150 were selected for the exhibit, which the Visual Arts Guild hosts. Students can submit art through March 1, 2024. Use the code DISD2024 to waive the application fee for up to three submissions.

Visual Arts parent Kay Wood chairs the YAT committee. Email Kay if you want to help on the committee in any capacity.
