Visual Arts Guild

April 22, 2023

Hello Visual Arts Guild supporters. Read on for the latest news, event information and reminders!

Thank you!
Thank you to all the parents and students who volunteered at I Am Booker T Day. We are excited to welcome 21 new members to the Visual Arts Guild.

And congratulations to Helen Lai, the winner of our membership raffle. We'll have other raffles at guild meetings throughout the year.

All are invited to join us Thursday, May 18 at the Playwright Pub (across the street from BTW in One Arts Plaza) for the May Visual Arts Guild meeting. Drop in anytime between 4:30-5:30 p.m. After the meeting you're invited to walk over to the Hudson Gallery for the free Young American Talent reception, which begins at 6 p.m.

Senior Scholarship applications due May 8
Seniors - don't forget to apply for the senior scholarship before May 8. Check out the Visual Arts Guild website for the eligibility requirements and application.

Senior Dinner
The Senior Dinner is Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. in the Hudson Gallery. Seniors received a digital 'save the date' via Remind this week. Print invitations will go out the first week in May. Each senior can bring up to two guests.

Volunteer spotlight
Do you have business or community connections? Do you have creative ideas about how to raise money? We need you! We're looking for a volunteer to help with fundraising efforts by coordinating events throughout the year, managing our online campaign for North Texas Giving Day, and securing individual or corporate sponsorships. Sign up with a friend, build your own committees, and help us fund the programs we offer our faculty and students. Get the details and reach out to the guild if you are interested.

Faculty Appreciation
May 8-12 is Faculty Appreciation Week. We welcome
volunteers to help on campus throughout the week, and we appreciate any monetary donations to help us recognize and celebrate our faculty. We'll have more details soon.

Pegasus Palooza
The Class of 2026 is hosting the first annual Pegasus Palooza on Sunday, May 7. We are looking for students in the Class of 2026 who are interested in participating. There is no cost to participate, but all proceeds go to the Class of 2026 Senior Fund. Get the details and let us know if you are interested in supporting the event.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now for $8. $10 tickets will be available the day of the event. Students who participate as volunteers will not need to purchase tickets. Merchandise is also available now!

Conservatory Wish List
Do you have dry cleaner bags, old Tupperware, assorted yarn, wooden rolling pins (used or thrifted), screws or nails, or sponges you can donate? The
Visual Arts Conservatory has a running wish list with these and other items
